Story of a 15 years old poor boy
We hear and read so many news and articles in daily papers about the patients who are poor and could not afford for the timely and appropriate treatment . But only few people knows what our hospital has been doing for such needy people. We just want to mention one example - A 15 years old boy with thoracolumber fracture dislocation with complete paraplegia was sent home by one of the hospitals without treatment since they didn't have enough money.(This sort of fracture surgery cost about more than 1.5 lakhs rupees )They happened to know about us and our charity works after 3 weeks of injury .We told them to bring the patient .After councelling everything we operated the case, decompressed the spinal cord and instrumented it free of cost . Now the boy is doing well but it was too late. He could have done better if it was operated as soon as trauma occured.
